Do you ever wonder whether those wine clubs are any more bothersome than those other similar gifts that you give all through the year, which begins with your initial gift?
Perhaps you are a huge fan of "Big Ray" you know the series "Everybody Loves Raymond" well there was this one episode where Ray and his wife Deborah decided to give Ray's parents a gift from not a wine club but a " fruit of the month club".
Needless to say that decision did not go down very well with Ray's parents especially his mother Marie, she was so insulted she just could not stop ranting and raving about the vast amount of pears she and her poor husband Frank would have to cope with for some time.
This episode clearly focuses on how lightly some people feel towards gift giving, they just give a gift because it is convenient, not caring if the recipient will appreciate or even like it, and also focuses on more creative club gifts, as there are many that you can join where you do not necessarily have to get too involved and they are not very expensive either, but you will have a more selective choice of gifts which will certainly seem more personal to the person receiving the gift.
Perhaps you should consider the wine clubs. When you join the wine club you have to opportunity to give a gift that will last a long time, and best of all you do not have to keep track of the date to ensure that your gift is sent out on a regular basis.
You can confidently give gifts to your close friends and family and even your co-workers without having any knowledge whatsoever of the various types of wines.
You can be confident that Wine clubs will automatically deliver the new wine to your friend without you having to worry about which is the best choice of wine you should send, this is good especially if you are clueless when it comes to the different types of wine.
On the other hand there are some wine of the month clubs that allows its members to decide on the type of wine to be sent out each month.
This is good for those of you who are well versed when it comes to wines, and are very particular as to the type, color etc, that your friends/families receive each month.
Let's consider the scenario of two friends living together, but with entirely different taste in wines, one loves a relatively decent priced Sauvignon and the other loves a nice bottle of Pinot Grigio.

As a matter of fact this is a great idea for someone who is not interested in sending the wine as a gift but would prefer to keep the it for himself, and try out the different varieties of from wine regions all over the world.
