Wine Stain

There is nothing more fearful to someone who has a fear of a wine stain, than a red wine stain.   This red spot has been the cause of many a ruined garment.

It has caused dread in the hearts of many a home owner with pale colored carpeting and it has made a happy smile turn upside down on many faces.

Thank goodness all wine stains are not necessarily red.  There are also the white wine stain which can cause just as much heartache as red wine stains.

How do you get rid of the stubborn white wine stain you may wonder, well first off start by pouring some cold water on the spot .  You should do this as soon as possible.

Normally you would find that these spills usually happen during a family gathering or birthday party,  and so because you don't want to seem rude to your guests you wait until everyone has left before attending to the spot.

As soon as an opportunity presents itself pour some cold water on the wine spot, remember, time is of the essence here, the sooner you attend to the spot the better the chances are of getting rid of it entirely.

For white wine stains on clothing and other garments that can be turned over on the wrong side, simply pour the cold water on the wrong side of the garment instead of the right side.

Because most rugs and carpets cannot be turned over on the wrong side your only option is to pour the cold water on  top of the rug or carpet.

A blouse or even a pair of trousers should always be turned inside out when you have to get rid of a white wine stain or any other stain for that matter.

The second step to removing the white wine stain would be to rub the fabric with laundry detergent.   First apply the laundry detergent, and leave it to soak into the fabric for about five to ten minutes.

You may also want to use regular dish washing detergent in place of laundry detergent as it has been known to work just as well.    For white wine stains on rugs and carpets, you should stick to a carpet spot cleaner.

You can find all these detergents at your local grocery store, but it is always useful to have some around in case of emergencies just like this.

If the wine stain is still present then you will have to let the garment soak in cold water for about thirty minutes.   Although this might be quite inconvenient, it is absolutely necessary if you really want to be able to wear your  blouse again.

Wash the garment as you would normally and when it is finished washing inspect the garment to ensure that the wine stain is completely gone, if it is still visible you can always try using a laundry stain remover and rewashing the garment again.

If after all you have done to remove the white wine stain from your rug or carpet, it is still present, you will probably need to seek the help of a professional carpet cleaner.

You should get in touch with the professional carpet cleaning company as soon as possible, to ensure the white wine stain will be successfully removed from your rug or carpet.
